On Wednesday, March 17 Rotarian Marv Logan honored the late Mike Stineman for his many years of service with the Community Achievement Award. The club recognizes Rotarians that had dedicated much of their lives to the works of Rotary. A check for $500 was given to the Pearson Lakes Art Center in Mike's honor for their pre school art education program.

"Mike liked to have children have opportunities to learn and how to be problem solvers. Mike felt that this can be accomplished through art education," stated his wife Barb to the club. Marv Logan told the club, "Mike was big in stature, heart, faith and love.. and big in Rotary's motto, 'Service Above Self'"

While accepting the award, Mike's wife Barb expressed Mike's value of being a Paul Harris Fellow and the many projects his club was involved in including the Dictionary Project, and Polio Plus. Both Barb and Mike have been acknowledged as Paul Harris Fellows, and have also been a host family for the Rotary Student Exchange Program.
