Every year the Iowa Great Lakes Rotary Club takes some time to spruce up the playground they built 17 years ago at Elinor Bedell State Park on the East side of East Lake Okoboji. Pictured above are some of the Rotarians taking a break from clean up tasks last Wednesday, May 30.
The playground and park is a popular spot for people of all ages. However, the playground equipment is especially designed for younger children in memory of two year old Shelby Duis who died of child abuse in her Spirit Lake home in January of 2000.
The Iowa Great Lakes Rotary Club continues their commitment to the playground not only with annual clean ups but with fundraising for new equipment and improvements to the playground. The Rotary Club is preparing for their 2nd annual Boji Brew Fest which will take place on August 4th in Arnolds Park

Iowa Great Lakes Rotary Club is growing and always looking for new members who are dedicated to our community and believe that service above self is the best way to make our community and world a better place.
