IOWA GREAT LAKES ROTARY CLUB WINS AWARD FOR GIVING
The Iowa Great Lakes Rotary Club was presented with a certificate of appreciation for the club’s financial support of the End Polio Now campaign.  This is an ongoing campaign by Rotary International to end polio internationally.  In 2013 there were 416 reported cases of Polio, world wide.  This number was reduced to 37 cases in 2016.
The local club was one of only three clubs in the District to receive the certificate.
The presentation was made at the Rotary Annual District Conference held this past week end in Cedar Falls.  Accepting the certificate on behalf of the Club was President Carey Wilkens.
