Nutrition is a crucial part of anyones overall health and Wednesday's presenter guided Rotarians with what can help or hinder health based on what we eat. Beth Samuelson, is a registered dietitian at Lakes Regional Healthcare, where she assesses the nutritional needs of patients as well as provides nutritional consultations to people on an outpatient basis. Beth discussed heart health, as heart disease is the #1 killer of men and women, more than all cancers combined. Beth stressed the importance of eating 8 servings of Fruits and Vegetables every day. She also shared facts about heart disease, risk factors, protective factors and much more!
