Rod Roberts Speaks to Rotary 10/7

On October 7 at the Iowa Great Lakes Rotary Club meeting Iowa Legislator Rod Roberts of Carroll, Iowa spoke to the club on "What's Life Like as a Legislator?"  January through April of every year the Des Moines Capital is buzzing with "citizen legislators" working on behalf of Iowa Citizens.  Most bills are presented to assigned or standing committees or sub committees to be decided if they are worthy of consideration.  About 15% are passed into law.
