Rotarians Shelly Masek and Dale Thorpe shared their experience distributing wheelchairs in Romania with the Iowa Great Lakes Rotary Club on Wednesday, February 17.

Hope Haven distributes approximately 8,000 wheelchairs each year throughout the world to people in need. Each wheelchair is individually fitted to each person. Sioux Falls Rotarians partnered with Hope Have and shared their stories of the distribution trip they recently took to Romania. Among the places visited were a government group home, a rehab facility, an elderly home and a group handicap farm.

Mark Siemosma of Hope Haven was also on hand to answer questions about the project, which is coordinated by Hope Haven, located in Rock Valley, Iowa. For more information about the project, visit www.hopehaven.org.
