Local Outbound Rotary Youth Exchange Student 2018/2019  Seattle Sweeney - Okoboji High School
The Iowa Great Lakes Rotary Club is pleased to announce  Okoboji high school student Seattle Sweeney has been selected as an outbound student for the Rotary Youth Exchange Program!  Seattle has gone through a rigorous  interview process with our district.  You may have met Seattle as she visits our club's meetings whenever possible.  Please be sure to say hello when you see her!
We support  Seattle and wish her all the best as she moves forward with preparations

Inbound Student selected is from France
We are excited to announce that Alis Collin from Bourge En Bresse, France has been selected to come to our community for the 2018/2019 school year.  She will be entering her Junior academic year and comes to us with a long list of achievements and is very goal driven.  Her father is a Rotarian in their community!

We are still searching for host families for Alis!  This is a very rewarding opportunity that will bring  an international experience directly into your home! If you would like to participate, please contact Tom, Peggy, OR Amy! The committment can be a minimum of 3 months which allows the student to rotate into other homes.

Thanks to our president, Tom Brodie for leading our club towards participating in a Foreign Exchange Student Program through Rotary International.   Amy Marlow and Peggy Gustafson are also part of the Rotary Youth Exchange team as we prepare to receive an inbound student into our community.  We welcome any ideas for host families from you too!  Here is how we can be reached:
Tom Brodie - (712) 336-6139
Peggy Gustafson (712-320-0192
Amy Marlow (515) 341-0720
