Hello!!!

As I continue to recover from the exhaustion of Eurotour I have time to say thank you to you and the club. I want to say a tremendous amount of ‘thank yous’  especially for the fundraiser you all had for me. I know it really helped me have the chance to go on the trip and I am SO grateful.

I had an absolutely amazing time and I got to see so many things that many will never get to see in real life. The sights were amazing and the freedom I had to explore with some of my best friends made the trip 10x more memorable. My favorite city was Paris (I think I was created to live in Paris (and Germany of course)) and Venice came at a close second!

I hit the ground running after the euro tour and I have been coming to Hamburg to see rotarians from the district. I got the great pleasure of seeing John Schultz, Jeff Hassman, many others I cannot remember, and ESPECIALLY our very own Kathy Fahy. It was great to get to speak English (with Iowans), to get new Rotary connections for my future in Rotary, and especially to learn more about the new and improved ROTEX program our district is starting up. I am already so excited to get home and stay involved with Rotary through ROTEX. I told John about some ideas and what my vision for a role in ROTEX would be and I am excited to work with him and the others involved.

Today is my 10 months-in-Germany-aversary and not only am I proud of myself for how far I have come, but I am also heart broken that I am so close to the end. Life here is amazing and my life is forever changed. There’s only about a month and a half left for me and I plan to make the most of every minute!

Thank you again, see you soon, with love, Seattle
